I am once again taking this opportunity to thank the wells mountain foundation for the wonderful work it is doing for third world countries students. I would also like to tell colleague scholars on the program that the Wells Mountain Foundation is Dependable, Supportive, Credible and above all Human centered organization.

After getting the money I bought some of my books and have started serious studies towards my EMT-A course in October, 2011. Books like the Principles of Anatomy and Physiology and other emergency books. It is my hope to be the best among the batch for this particular program.

Once again I am conveying my heartfelt appreciation to all the wmf workers who make these happen. Long live the Wells Mountain Foundation, Long live our Continent!!

Helo and greetings from Uganda. Iam so grateful to Wells Mountain Foundation for giving me an opportunity. I know words cannot express all my gratitude but Iam indeed very grateful. This oportunity has given me a chance to pursue my long time dream of becoming a development worker for my community and country. Iam now pursuing a Bachelor of Development Studies from All Saints University-Lango. Year one is over and Iam looking forward to starting my year two by 10th October 2011.

During the three months break I had the opportunity to Volunteer at KEFRAMA College. The college is a community based secondary school located in Lira District dedicated to working with children/students and their families and communities to fight illiteracy, injustice and poverty in the region. Inspired by Christian values, the college is dedicated to working with the community’s most vulnerable families, Children and/ or students. Because I like giving a helping hand whenever possible and since WMF has also chosen me to be one of their scholars, I decided to give back to the community by volunteering with the colege providing psycho-social support to the students, their families and other support staff.

As a development worker, it would be my pleasure to notice that KEFRAMA college grows to benefit more and more vulnerable children than it is doing today. Though inadequacy in funding has limmitted their capacity to offering education scholarship to only 60 students in senior one and two this year, I believe they will work hard towards improving on their standards and giving more children opportunity to be in school.

Activities done July to September 2011

- Identifying children/students who needed counselling

- Connecting to the students’ families

- Provision of Psycho-social support to students and their families

- Monitoring and evaluating student’s and Teacher’s performance

I want to say a very big thank to the founders and entirely board of directors of wells mountain foundation for coming to my aid. I’m a young Nigerian who lost the dad before his one year birthday and since then things has really not been easy. This offer of scholarship is really a breath of fresh air, as my many financial worries would be taken care of. Hallo, this is quite amazing and i just dont know just how i will ever repay the Wells family. Am so much humbled and looking forward to going back to school after the long month holiday that i have been able to meet diffent people and saving kenyans who have sufferin from worst starvation in our country for decades. I am very happy to learn that you are committed to see me have a bright future by continuing to pay my school fees. Ever since i got my acceptance letter from MWF i knew this was going to continue. As i had said earlier, this scholarship will not only benefit me as an individual but all the people at my reach (My Community) as i will commit my life to service of humanity by saving life, education etc.

I want to formally announce that I have completed Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology pursuing Business Administration (Accounting option) with a first class.

Wells Mountain Foundation has not only assisted me financially to complete a course in the university. However, this organization through its activities and programmes has inspired me to start a business on my own. This business is at the nurturing stage which I hope to grow in the near future.

Like I always say, a thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but also the parent of all virtues. Knowing WMF has made me a better person. A sound mind to study and produce results effectively. I say THANK YOU to you all.

Volunteerism and giving back to my country is what WMF desires, and as such, I take delight in doing it cheerfully. I did not understand the insight of volunteerism until I met WMF. I was challenged to take up the path of volunteering. Indeed, it’s a path of free will, a path of discovering new things, a path of meeting new people ready to say welcome to us, a path of appreciation and so on.

In 2009 when I received my first scholarship, I decided to give back to the society. I then served JUNIOR ART CLUB,GHANA as a Technical Support Officer, for the maintenance of the computers, laptops and printers. In the year 2010, I served the weightron bilanciai, Ghana, as an industrial weighing specialist. As a system analyst, I managed the computer electronics used for calibrating weights under the supervision of the Main System Analyst of the said company. I did all this during school vacation.

Currently,I am on an industrial attachment with the GHANA REVENUE AUTHORITY, headquarters in Accra, volunteering as an Information Support Officer at the Information System Support Unit (ISSU) Department for three months. Then back to school in September 2011.

I am really proud of WMF for the sponsorship and the highlights of volunteerism.
I am really learning a new thing here, practical hands. The whole nations Revenue Data Center is indeed a great feeling and experience. I am actually into the Computer and system administration.
